Volten/Meyer Violin&Piano Duo

Violinist Anne-Marie Volten and pianist Pascal Meyer met each other during a masterclass in Amsterdam. Ever since, they form a duo and perform regularly in the Netherlands, Germany and Luxemburg.
Recent appearances include recitals at the Muziekcentrum Frits Philips in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), Schloss Herten and Schloss Weilerbach in Germany, Eglise Protestante and Eglise de Howald in Luxemburg bur also in Singapore, where they performed at the Hollandsche Club and the residency of the Ambassador of the Netherlands.

Both musicians are individually involved in numerous chamber music groups, performing well-known classical music up to daring contemporary repertoire. Their respective projects include children concerts as much as music theatre productions and dance performances. This artistic sense of eagerness and adventure has led Anne-Marie Volten to co-productions with the Dancelab of Karine Guizzo and Kenzo Kusuda and dancers of the Nederlands Dans Theater. Pascal Meyer is a member of the critically acclaimed modern music ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin. He is currently touring alongside pianist Xenia Pestova with whom he performs a programme in tribute to Karlheinz Stockhausen.

Their music education in the different traditions of the universities in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria and Russia, in combination with their desire to stay in touch with society and the development of art history have equipped them with a fresh approach to both classical and contemporary music. With this feeling of passion and mutual understanding Pascal and Anne-Marie have found their common ground and meet around some of the best music for the valuable and powerful chamber music formation, the Violin and Piano Duo.
